Essay Plan

Discuss a problem arising from the use of social media and its impact on individuals and/or society in a particular country. Identify existing solutions and propose possible new measures that could be implemented to address that problem. Be sure to integrate information from appropriate sources into your essay.
Main Problem: Through the use of social media, there is an increasing number in cyber bullying in Singapore. Singapore is the 2nd highest nation of cyberbullies. 3 out of 10 re bullied.
Affected target group: Primary and Secondary School children. Youth between the ages 8 and 17
Agent of change: Parents, Media literacy council, Touch cyber wellness, network operators like SingTel

Thesis: Through the use of social media, there is an increasing number of cyber bullying cases among youth aged between 8 and 17 in Singapore.  Singapore is ranked second in the nation of cyberbullies. (Family & Life, 2014). Singapore is one of the rare countries where there is a greater rate of bullying online than offline.
